Sodium lactate is mainly used as an injection in the medical field to replenish body fluids and regulate electrolyte balance in the body, relieving symptoms such as dehydration due to diarrhoea, diabetes and poisoning due to gastritis.
Lactic acid with Sterochemical purity above 98% can be used as the starting material for the synthesis of chiral drugs.
Mineral enhancer: Lactates (calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, etc.) are good mineral enhancers due to their high biological absorption utilization rate, good taste, neutral pH value and high solubility. It can be made into tablets or powders for the corresponding mineral deficiencies.
Medical Materials
PLA is a polycondensate of lactic acid, which is hydrolysed into lactic acid in human tissues. Lactic acid is a metabolic product of the human body and can be further decomposed into carbon dioxide and water, so PLA is non-toxic and has good degradability, and can be made into a variety of medical materials for different purposes, such as: biodegradable surgical sutures, internal fixation of fractures, tissue repair materials and filling materials for the treatment of retinal detachment, etc.
Due to its inherent metabolic safety and ease of film formation, PLA is an ideal material for durable drug delivery and is widely used in slow/controlled release systems for pharmaceuticals.
